I downloaded this late last night via the online store direct to my PS4. I'm really looking forward to playing it and loosing myself in those blocky hills!
You made me chuckle!
If I buy a new Xbox One this Christmas I want 6 months Live free.
There was a time it stood head and shoulders above PSN but now the online service landscape is markedly different. Sony now charge for PSN and for gamers on a budget they can't pay for two subscriptions so are having to go for the one that offers the best value.
@Mega24 are you thinking that a rival company paid 4J to stall it so the Xbone version is first?
It wouldn't be the first time. ;)
A bit of an overstated headline as saying 'finally' implies the game has been delayed. However the Xbox One has only just been released so it wouldn't have made sense to sell the game beforehand.
@Abriael said: "I believe in writing about games. Not gaming journalists."
Abriael. I like what you do on Dualshockers so I'm really disappointed to see you say that. I come here for the GAMES news. But if there is something improper about how or why that news is given to us by 'journalists' or websites then we have a right to know and discuss it.
Awful substandard blog jumping on the White Knight bandwagon failing to realise the xenophobia of his attitude towards Japanese people.
No thanks.
When Amazon.co.uk cancelled by pre-order for Rise of the Tomb Raider, I cancelled my order for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.
I was going to buy into the lower budget top-down Osiris game but because I knew it would be accompanying the full blown game. But why should I invest my emotions and money into a character and franchise that has the best adventure restricted from being sold to me?
I'm not blaming anyone.

If you're looking to buy an XBO that's a great deal -especially considering it is a new bundle that hasn't even been released yet and has Sunset Overdrive.
It seems likely that Microsoft have, like with the Titanfall bundles, authorised this unofficial price reduction. They have to do something to keep in the game as currently in most UK stores the PS4 is selling very well.
It's crazy that some people want to bury the term 'gamer' because they think the word has become sullied and means hateful/nerdy/loser/other pejorative.
The people trying to do this are egotistical known writers on websites who drunk on their own 'fame' are trying to prove their influence on all the gaming communities. However there isn't an alternative word and The Escapist's founder has done good to speak up.
Is it wrong for me to say that this game makes me want a Morpheus just a little bit more?!
Exactly. Sony need to spread out their big game releases and look at what third parties are doing because 3 big releases in such a narrow release window means the games won't reach their full sales potential on PS4.
Warhawk? I'm hoping for a remastered version of Haze - who's with me?! ;)
Have they explicitly said there won't be a HD mode?
Rashid: "We found that both versions of Metro 2033 have individual benefits and details"
Sorry Rashid but this sounds like a PR statement made to keep sweet both Xbox and PlayStation communities so as not to alienate anybody and lose visitors. But when making comparisons you must just report your findings and tell it like it is.
I haven't played the redux so can't comment on the actual quality. But what I do know is that Digital Foundry who ...
In the UK last gen the majority of gamers I met were 360 owners. A big part of why we became an Xbox country is that the PS3 wasn't launched until SIXTEEN months after the 360. Sony squandered their PS2 user base and by the time the PS3 came out many hardcore had migrated.
With PS4 Sony have done things differently. They launched their console at the same time as their competitor but the significantly cheaper price (£80 difference here) the benefits of free games wit...
Portal was cross-platform between PC and PS3.
Bungie recently said they could have built Destiny so it is cross platform but it would have made the console/s with the highest resolution have an unfair advantage.
The industry is changing. It might be that where once it was okay for manufacturers to pay for third-party games to be exclusive and now this is not welcome, in the future it may be that PS4/Xbone owners will demand that they are not restricted in oth...
@nicksetzer1 "Read the fine print"
Thank you nick, your example image sums up what's going on perfectly!
Why is it under Phil Spencer we always have to look at the asterisk or 'read the fine print?'
Why is it we are deliberately led to believe a game is a true exclusive then later told it has a 'duration'?
I don't want to have to look out for clauses and fine print and asterisks. I just want...
September is a bit w*** to be honest.
Offering Crimson Dragon two months in a row feels like Microsoft are trying to get one over on us because people who were Xbox One Live subscribers are effectively getting only one new game. So their promise to offer two titles rings a bit hollow.
Giving away Dishonoured last month on 360 was a touchdown. I know they can't give AAA games like that every month but Halo: Reach? It's undoubtedly a great game but it's FOUR...
It's a clever but cynical deal arranged by Microsoft to give GAME a special discount, because MS have been excluded from the Bungie/Sony love-in.
You don't need to be a betting man to know it won't stop the PlayStation 4 edition from being the best selling version in the UK.
